Fall Into JOY

$30,000.00

We’ve just completed one of the hardest moves in our history. In September, we lost our longtime home—and in the months that followed, we lifted freezers, coolers, pallets, and a full shipping container and shed into a new rented lot at the edge of Denver County. Through sheer will and community hands, we never missed a single day of service.

Every day, Joy’s Kitchen now rescues and redistributes more than 5,000 pounds of fresh food that would otherwise be wasted. We do this on less than $350 a day—the cost of a dinner for two in this city—and yet the impact stretches across entire neighborhoods.

We’ve done it by collaborating with organizations like Benefits in Action, creating shared warehouse space and models of cooperation that show what’s possible when competition gives way to compassion.

But here’s the truth: this mission runs on faith and fuel, and both are running thin. We are working to stabilize our new location, maintain trucks and refrigeration, and prepare for the next season of need.
