Hey Joy’s Family,
We’ve got some big news to share. After 13 years of love, service, and community at Westwoods Community Church, we’ve been told we need to find a new home.
While this decision wasn’t ours, we’re choosing to embrace what’s ahead with gratitude for the millions of meals, the thousands of hands, and the endless love that’s passed through these doors. Joy’s Kitchen has always been about nourishment, love, and showing up for each other.
Now, the time has come for us to step into a new chapter. Through negotiations, WWCC has asked us to be completely transitioned out by September 1st.
🚨 This is big stuff! 🚨
We have until September 1st to:
🔹 Secure enough funding to continue our regular, uninterrupted service to the thousands who rely on us.
🔹 Raise the resources needed to relocate and increase our budget capacity to lease a new space.
As you know, we are a grassroots, community-funded organization. This shift comes at a critical time, with reductions in food benefits for working families and increasing economic strain impacting those in need more than ever before.

Important Request for Our Community:
We ask that conversations about the transition be saved for designated times so we do not overwhelm our staff and core team as they continue maintaining daily operations. We honor the space, the decision-makers, and the good energy that allows us to serve others with love.
Keep eyes and hearts open. Get the story out. Raise the prayers. Know that we do beautiful things together.
We can’t wait to see what Joy’s becomes!
