Our Story In Pictures

At Joy’s Kitchen we believe that the solution to hunger is food rescue. We pour ourselves in to rescuing food and getting it to people who can use it.

Here, all are welcome and all are valued and loved. By working together we have the tangible ability to feed one another more than food.

RESCUE! (First we load the truck with rescued food)
TRANSPORT! (Our Volunteers bring the food to location)
SET UP! (It's lots of work, but it's worth it!)
GIVE! ( Helping people fill their fridge... and their heart!)
FAMILY! (Joy's Kitchen is 99% Community. Thanks Guys!)
Be the Seed

Be the Solution

People sometimes feel they don't have time, money, or resources to help. That's okay! Here are some ways you can get involved and be part of the solution:
Be conscious! Pick produce that isn't perfect. Find ways to use food rather than throwing it out. Volunteer! We always need a hand. Have a free day and want to move some boxes? Donate! Don't have time to give? We run on a shoestring budget, and every dollar helps. Eat! Come get some delicious rescued food and use it in your home!

because of our partners we are doing more good for more people!

HOPE NEEDS TEAM WORK!

Meet Kathy (Our Founder)

Joy's Kitchen started because of a vision given to Kathy by God to feed people. Kathy saw two very real needs and was able to fulfill the vision through food rescue. Joy's Kitchen is named after Kathy's late mother, the amazing Joyce Ward. Thank you, Joy, for the inspiration.
